It still amazes me, even after a third year returning how much of a culture shock it is coming back from India.  I find the small things make me smile, like being able to brush my teeth with tap water, a toilet that actually flushes and not having to pull out the tissue from my bag to use as toilet paper.  The quietness that awaits me in the morning and the cool temperatures outside.  I keep forgetting that I must put on a coat, socks and shoes before going outside.  All the simple things we take for granted, still take some retraining.  I some how remember to look right then left before crossing a street, instead of left than right. Although missing the sights, smells, dust, simplicity, friendliness and the “Holy Cow” I am happy to be home.  Thanks to the group of 11 students and Mr. B for a truely inspiring journey.  You guys rose to the challenge and even stepped higher.  I meant what I said in those last words at Roses and Thorns and I hope you remember this past three weeks for many years to come.  All my love to you.  Ms. P
