“The Lighthouse Land” By Adrian Mckinty
“The Lighthouse Land” is a great book for readers who love adventure. When Jamie O’Neill finds out he is a laird to an island in Carrickfergus, Ireland, he leaves New York City to go there. Jamie has one arm only; his right one. Jamie lost his left arm at the zoo when a rhino ate it. When Jamie leaves, he gets a present from his friend Thaddeus; a tablet PC. When he gets to Ireland, he meets a boy named Ramsay. Ramsay and Jamie are great friends. One day, Jamie and Ramsay decide to find out what is in the mysterious lighthouse beside his house on the island. They go up and find a little “den” and it is where they do their homework. When they find another room above them, there is a strange machine. When they press a button on the machine, it sends them on an amazing journey across the universe to save an unknown planet.
