I was thinking way smaller scale anyways, like personal crisis instead of ones that might literally end the world. I dont think I actually mentioned 2012 in the post, but either way I can't say I agree with you - I think the warning signs are pretty clear with or without these "messengers" - the planet Earth is going to outlive the human race...we've created the trouble we're in now, and I dont think "god" is going to save us from that.
