Unfortunately, rumors of Actress – Kate Winslet and husband of 7 years director – Sam Mendes are all true. They announced earlier this month that they had separated. They actually split up earlier this year, but did not want to take it out into the public at that time.

The couple met in 2001 when he approached her to appear in a play at London’s Donmar Warehouse theatre, of which he was then artistic director. They married in May 2003, and had a baby boy called Joe 7 months later.

Ironically, they happened to be working alongside Leonardo Di-Caprio in the movie “Revolutionary Road” in which a couple had problems and separated 7 years after their marriage too! She had won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a drama.

Winslet’s marriage to Mendes was her second after being married to assistant director Jim Threapleton in 1998, having a daughter who is nine called Mia Honey, and separated in 2001. So another unsuccessful marriage for Ms. Winslet.

I hope that in future she will find a man who is right for her, and will want to spend the rest of his life with her. She is starting to lose hope in finding Mr. Right after she said “I was always the teenager who was always falling for the wrong guy, or who never got the guy.” So I hope for the best for Kate.
